I was hired to draw Fashion Sketches at a Chanukah Party this weekend. I imagine there will be a lot of Children there. As well as Adults.
Looking forward to it. I always look forward to Fashion Sketch Events. I love to draw that. But what about the Boys at an Orthodox Chanukah Party? I was guessing that all the boys would be dressed the same? Tailored shirt and dark slacks? What to do?
I looked up Fashions for Orthodox Jewish Boys online, and I felt relieved. Every outfit looks different. Every person wore their clothes differently. Of course.
I drew Fashion Sketches of two Boys. And then, just for fun, on to the Women's Fashions. Really started loosening up by the end of my own personal drawing time. Counting the time til I can go to the Party

Had a few minutes before going in to the Bat Mitzvah yesterday, so I went back to practicing Tame Caricatures. Each of my approaches feels different than another approach. I finally discovered how to switch easily from Tame Caricatures to Cartoony Caricatures. And I realized that my best choice for Speed and Quality would be to:
Draw Individual Females as Tame Caricatures,
Draw Couples and Groups as Cartoony Caricatures,
and Draw Males as Cartoony
Using very little, if any, predraw (perhaps just size or placement), I approached the Tame Caricatures with Outside-In in my mind even though I frequently drew the Inside before the Outside. And using very little, if any, predraw (perhaps just size or placement), I approached the Cartoony Caricatures however it hit me ~ usually like yes yay also Outside-In.
