I had had such a beautiful day. And my gracious hostess, who encouraged me to enjoy special foods as well as paying me, sent me the following email after her son's First Birthday Party:
"Thanks again for doing such a phenomenal job at Jonah's birthday!!
Everyone who got a caricature done loved it! I was sad that Jonah was so cranky when i brought him to you. You didn't even get a chance to put in any color on his because of his crying and crankiness but you did such a great swift job! You were a busy woman! sorry you didn't get a chance to have lunch.
I will be recommending you to my friends. One friend said she wanted you for her bday party next year. (her bday was one week earlier than Jonahs)."

Oooh. I just came across this picture. I wonder where the others are.
I had drawn it almost a year ago when an artist from Korea had visited NYC. I wanted to show Spring Lee around, so I took her to Michael Alan's Draw-a-thon.
The draw-a-thon is pretty neat. Amorphic shapes, slowly undulating poses..... But Spring Lee wanted to stay in the slower room - with Loooong poses. So I had plenty of time to create this piiiiicture:
